About allocating resources

If you want a particular staff member to work on a particular type of job for a particular contact, you can specify these details in each client's Contacts record, alternatively you can set this up in bulk in the Resource Allocations area.

You can define which team member is automatically assigned to a specific job type for a client and how much time they are automatically allocated. For example, you can ensure that when AA jobs are created for the client, Amy is automatically allocated 3 hours, whereas Leroy gets 1 hour for all Wages jobs.

As you use Practice Manager your estimations of the amount of time required per job will grow more accurate.

To begin with, we recommend you add automatic resource allocations for:

You need to add automatic resource allocations BEFORE you add any jobs.

Once you have added automatic resource allocations you can use the resource allocation reports to manage the workload for staff members.

Alternatively, you can manually add resources at the time of creating an individual job or later when you edit a job.

You can edit or delete automatic resource allocations and manual resource allocations, if required.
